Got a little boost for this look. If you don't already know, the Adidas Iniki Runner launched in the U.S. on March 1st. I've been awaiting this release since it was announced because I love the old school retro vibe of these kicks. Naturally once I got them, I paired them with my favorite velour jumpsuit and shot some pics. The Iniki is the definition of old soul. They're vintage looking, comfy as hell, and all around cool. Between the upper being super soft to the classic boost sole, I think these may actually be my comfiest boosts yet. Get into this look and sneakers with the links below. Recap: NikeWomen NTC
One the eve of International Women's Day I headed out to a special NikeWomen Nike Training Club to kick-off the girl power celebrations. It's been a while since I did any bootcamp-y interval training. I was a little nervous about how intense the night would go, but I was ready to push myself. When I got there I ran into a familiar face, Tai of Purpl Goat (creator of a non-toxic artisan crafted cosmetic line), and some super enthusiastic Nike trainers. We all corralled in a huge soundstage at Quixote Studios where they had small exhibits set-up, photo booths etc. When the workout actually started it was as intense as I imagined it would be, but it felt amazing to do. Three Nike Trainers led ... read more

This is a special giveaway edition of #ItsALook inspired by the end of Black History Month and the start of Women's History Month. What better way to kick off this momentous occasion then by giving away this 'Stay Woke' pin designed by one of my favorite designers and real life friend Laci of Solacilike. I say real life because the basis of our friendship started from a mutual Instagram admiration. lol. Now you know we all have people we look up to and admire on the gram. Sometimes you get lucky enough to not only meet these people, but find out that they are just as woke, cool, and creative as they look on social media. Real recognize real doesn't always translate in real life, but in our ... read more

How I Stay Fit in LA
"It's a journey, not a destination." Being fit and staying fit is just one of those things I wish I cracked the code to but have not. Growing up I danced from middle school to college, so working out/fitness was never something I really had to think about. Now that I'm an adult and have not danced in years, I'm always looking for methods to keep myself motivated and interested. Thanks to Nike I've caught my stride, literally, and have gotten back into running. Between running and group classes, I've found a few things that work for me. Scroll down to see what they are. Blacklist LA I've fallen in love with running thanks to Blacklist. Blacklist LA is essentially a running club that ... read more

First and foremost RIP American Apparel. I snagged this sweatshirt dress from them just before the sale bubble burst and everything sold out. Although AA was a problematic fave, it always delivered quality basics and for that it'll be missed. I paired my AA hoodie dress with Adidas Trefoil Leggings, Adidas NMD's and my Hundreds hat for a three stripe inspired lewk. Links below. Biker shorts are the unsung heroes of life. I wear them under skirts (say no to chaffing kids), to work out, and sometimes as regular shorts. When it's feeling like summer in the middle of LA winter pairing biker shorts with a hoodie and coach jacket may sound like an oxymoron but, it's actually top notch temperature control. I threw on one of my favorite Air Max's ever - the Air Max Plus Satin in the Plum Fog colorway - that are as comfortable as they are pretty and spent the day looking like I was ready for a run. Two up, two down. Although it's been two years since I've left VA, its influences are ever-present. That's why when I saw this Neptunes tee at ComplexCon last November, I knew there was no way I was leaving without it. Pharrell is without a doubt one of my biggest style/life influences and the whole reason I even got into streetwear. This shirt is an homage to him, home, and younger me. I paired it with another ComplexCon score -- a limited edition Rare Panther jacket, a UO x Champion beanie, some Young and Reckless sweatpants, and classic Nike Huaraches for a cozy look.
